SUMMARY:Spiritual Journey
DESCRIPTION:Spiritual Journey\nThe church premises were moved from St David’s Anglican Church to 1315 Kipling Ave\, then called the St. Wilfrid’s Anglican Church. The first service was held on January 16\, 2011. The 25th church anniversary\, our Silver Jubilee\, was celebrated in 2011\, by successfully undertaking 25 different community projects. There had been ongoing talks over the past years of an affiliation between the CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese and the Anglican Diocese of Toronto. A few of our church members disagreed with this proposal and left the main church. The presbyter and church members then stood strong and united\, focusing on Christ\, the foundation of the church\, and moved on in their spiritual journey. \nThe year 2012\, marked an important milestone in the history of our church which is the Association and Incorporation into the Anglican Diocese. Bishop Rt. Rev. Thomas K Oommen\, Madhya Kerala Diocese and Bishop Kochamma\, Mrs. Susan Thomas visited the Church from June 27 – July 3 in 2012 . The following year  Bishop Rt. Rev. G Devakadaksham\, the Moderator of Church of South India\, also visited our church. A historic event took place at our Church on October 5\, 2014\, an Induction Service was conducted by Suffragan Bishop Rt. Rev. Philip Poole\, Anglican Diocese of Toronto (York – Credit Valley)\, for our New Vicar Rev. George Jacob.  An initiative to bond with new families began with informal gatherings on Friday evenings which took place in the Great Hall for fellowship. Gospel conventions were held in which renowned speakers like Rev. C M Varghese and Dr. P G Vergis spoke from the Word of God. Our church members involved themselves in evangelism and speaking the Good News to all who would care to listen. The group went downtown and also door to door with the Gospel of Christ. This was indeed a result of training\, support and prayer by George Jacob Achen and our senior members: Philip Alexander and Mary Alexander. In 2014\, two of our church members left to their heavenly abode\, Varghese Jacob\, who played a pivotal role in formation of the Constitution of the Church and Ponamma Thomas who served as Director for Women’s Fellowship in the past years. \n   \nNew CSI Church\, Toronto building… formerly known as St. Wilfrid’s Anglican Church

SUMMARY:Welcoming a New Century
DESCRIPTION:Welcoming a New Century\nThe Lord Almighty enabled our church to witness the turn of a century and we welcomed the 2000s joyously. The church continued to grow with over 55 families as members to over 100 families by 2010. The first volume of The Pilgrim was launched on July 17\, 2000. In 2002\, the first church website was registered and developed under the leadership of Siby Jacob. The church released the first CD\, Face to Face on July 20\, 2003. The first Malayalam Class was held on April 3\, 2005\, under the leadership of Mrs. Mariamma Thomas. On December 23\, 2006\, the church conducted another successful Christmas Cantata. Amidst the several joyful events\, an extremely shocking and tragic event struck our church on Thanksgiving Day\, October 13\, 2008. The church lost two dear members\, Susan John and Saramma Varghese. The church established an education trust fund for Sarah John\, Susan John’s daughter. On August 14\, 2009\, a new church parsonage was purchased in Brampton and was dedicated on October 31\, 2009.  \nThe church took several initiatives and steps to strengthen the relationship with the Anglican Church of Canada. During the inaugural Silver Jubilee function in May 2010\, Bishop Thomas Samuel met with the Toronto Area Bishop Philip Poole for further discussion. Later in the year\, Toronto Archbishop\, Colin Johnson and Bishop Poole took a major step and visited Bishop Thomas Samuel in Madhya Kerala Diocese\, Kottayam in India and signed the documents to strengthen the relationship between the two dioceses. DESCRIPTION:An Aspiring Church\nThis decade in the life of the church was led by Rev. Shajan Idiculla and Bishop Rt. Rev. Michael John. Church Services were held regularly\, with occasional Episcopal and Bishop visits from the diocese. These years witnessed the celebration of the first Thanksgiving and Harvest Festival and also the first house to house caroling. The first Confirmation Service was held on May 15\, 1994. The church moved to the St. David’s Anglican Church premises and conducted the first worship service on August 7\, 1994. On September 1\, 1997\, the first wedding bells rang in our church for the marriage of Ravi Kanthan and Sneha Mary Jacob. The first Christmas Cantata (City of Light) was held on December 20\, 1997. In 1999\, God Almighty enabled us to purchase the first parsonage at 17 Knightsbridge Rd\, Brampton and it was dedicated on May 15\, 1999. SUMMARY:Humble Beginnings
DESCRIPTION:Humble Beginnings\nThe CSI Church\, Toronto had first convened on May 11\, 1986\, at Wycliffe College in Toronto\, where Rev. Thomas Ninan\, a student of the school\, presided over the first Holy Communion Service. The following week the Church conducted its second Holy Communion Service and held its first General Body Meeting and officers to the committee were then elected. Several “first occurrences” transpired during these years such as appointing Rev. George M John as the president of the church. The first set of fellowship ministries were held\, the first baptism\, picnic and carol service were held as well.  \nBro. D G S Dhinakaran from the Jesus Calls Ministry preached the Word of God on June 5\, 1988\, then returned and held a healing service on July 17\, 1988. At this time there were around 26 registered families within the church body.  \nMany of our current members were witnesses to these humble beginnings and have seen the church grow. \n  \n.              \nWycliffe College & Chapel \n  \n  \n
