Many Youth volunteers from CSI church Toronto joined other community members on April 20th, 2013 to clean up the tranquil Calvert Park located in Brampton. The Volunteer effort was organized by Shaji Achen, Shabu Uncle, Mona chechy and Priya chechy. As responsible youth members, we wanted to make a difference by demonstrating our dedication to God, through service to the church and our community.

The weather on April 20th did not make it any easier for us, as it was a very chilly spring morning. Even though we were freezing from the cold weather, it did not deter our determination to complete the task. The youth volunteers grabbed their gloves and other equipment and commenced the cleanup.

We made interesting discoveries during the cleanup, and kept filling the bags with litter that was found in the park. Every volunteer participated to the best of his/her abilities to make this event successful. Once the cleanup was completed, the Calvert Park officials rewarded us with gift bags. Later on we had a scrumptious barbeque lunch at the parsonage, sponsored by Shabu Uncle.

This event has been a great experience, as it left us with a sense of accomplishment. We thank our lord and saviour Jesus Christ who blessed us with this opportunity.
