The Women’s Fellowship’s one day retreat was held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at CSI Church, Toronto.

The morning session started with a prayer by Rev. Shaji M. Johnson. The main topic for the retreat was “Women’s relationship with family and Church”. Dr. Rachel Kurian, the guest speaker for the morning, spoke on this subject. Relationship with family and God/Church was clearly explained based on Ruth’s life. We were reminded of the importance of staying focused, and making the right choices in our life. We were divided into four groups for discussion on different aspects of the main topic and the summary was shared with the whole group. The message was well received and every one actively participated in the group discussion.

After lunch, quality time was spent on praise and worship led by Mrs. Shirley Abraham, and prayer and intercession led by Mrs. Daisy Mathai. The remainder of the afternoon was spent on hands on activity of cake decoration, demonstrated by Mrs. Sarah Oommen. It was a blessed day well spent and enjoyed by about twenty-five ladies who attended the retreat.

A special thanks to Dr. Rachel Kurian and Mrs. Sarah Oommen for their leadership in the retreat. May I express my sincere thanks to Achen and Kochamma for their support and guidance, to everyone who provided food, and also to all those who worked hard and attended the retreat, making it a great success.
